Job summary

Clough in Australia is seeking an experienced Painter Blaster for the Perdaman Project in Karratha. This 2:1 roster (14 days on, 7 off) places you on a major infrastructure program with Perth as the point of hire.

You will perform abrasive blasting to remove rust and coating prep, ensuring adherence to project specs. You should have a relevant trade certificate, Construction White/Blue Card, Working at Heights, and High Risk Work License (EWP) with Confined Space.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience in construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform abrasive blasting (sand, grit, shot, or other media) to remove rust, scale, paint and contaminants.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, sanding and priming as required.
• Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment, brushes or rollers.
• Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting and painting to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment.
• Follow job specifications, blueprints and coating system requirements.
• Comply with all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
