Job summary

SRG Global is seeking an experienced tradesperson to perform abrasive blasting and apply protective coatings to structural steel and plant equipment on-site. You will ensure surface preparation meets coating standards and maintain equipment.

This is a long-term, day-shift role on a 10-hour schedule, Monday to Thursday. Local candidates only. The successful applicant will work within a safety-first team, conducting QA checks and following environmental controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ trade experience.
• Working at Heights certification (within the last 2 years).
• Confined Space Entry certification (within the last 2 years).
• High Risk Work Licences – LF and WP (desirable).
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and site-based requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performing abrasive blasting and industrial painting to specification.
• Applying protective coatings using brush, roller, and spray methods.
• Preparing surfaces in line with coating and blasting standards.
• Operating and maintaining blasting and painting equipment.
• Working safely at heights and in confined spaces.
• Following site safety protocols, permits, and environmental controls.
• Reading and interpreting job cards, data sheets, and work instructions.
• Completing basic QA checks and reporting as required.
• Collaborating with supervisors and trades across a high-performing team.
