Job summary

RCS Painter Contractors in Sydney is seeking an experienced painter to manage a range of finishing tasks on various surfaces. The role involves applying paints, stains and varnishes, as well as wallpaper installation and thorough surface preparation.

Responsibilities include setting up scaffolding, protecting surroundings, and finishing with neat trim and polished edges. The position requires at least one year of painting experience and appropriate AQF certification. The job is on-site in Sydney.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training.
• AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

Responsibilities

• Setting up scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings to shield nearby areas from paint spills and splashes.
• Mixing paint components, including pigments, oils, and necessary additives, to achieve the desired colors and consistency.
• Installing wallpaper, aligning patterns, and neatly trimming edges for a professional appearance.
• Prepping surfaces by stripping old paint and wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling cracks and holes, and ensuring smooth and sealed surfaces.
• Applying paint, stains, and varnishes with brushes, rollers, or spray equipment for a flawless finish.
• Cleaning tools, equipment, and the worksite after completing the job.
• Performing window repairs and replacing glass panes in both wooden and metal frames when required.
• Installing and repairing wall and floor tiles as part of finishing work.
