Job summary

O’Bryan Painting and Line Marking in Mulwala NSW is seeking an experienced Painter to join the team. The role covers surface preparation of steel, cleaning, stripping, sanding and applying paints or protective coatings, along with reading blueprints and operating blast pots and spray guns.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or equivalent, with about 3 years of relevant experience and the ability to work well in a team.

• Ideally 3 years’ experience within relevant field.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation of steel for painting and protective coatings.
• Prepare, clean, strip, sand, and remove corrosion from fabricated steel.
• Operate blast pots and spray guns and read blueprints.
• Apply coatings using various methods and ensure safe tool operation.
• Sandblast, grind, and finish steel surfaces as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and drawings.

Job Description

O’Bryan Painting and Line Marking are currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Painter to join their team in Mulwala NSW. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools
• Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings.
• Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns
• Knowledge of various painting methods and applications
• Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches and drawings
• Safe operation of tools and equipment
• Grinding, sanding and polishing of steel
• Understanding of painting, caulking and sealing and putting them in to practice
• Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods

Skills & Abilities:

• Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant
• Ideally have 3 years’ experience within relevant or similar field
• Ability to work in a team environment

Salary range is $75,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience Fulltime Positions available Applications open on 7th October 2026 and closes on 7th November 2026
