Job summary

Carma, based in Sydney at the St Peters site, is seeking a Paint Shop Manager to lead our in-house automotive paint and panel production. You will ensure quality, drive efficiency, and coach the team through training and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise with targets, champion safety, and apply lean principles to keep operations on track. A NSW driver’s licence is required, and automotive experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience leading/supervising a team (automotive industry experience a plus).
• Good understanding of automotive paint and panel work; formal qualification not required.
• Tech savvy and quick to learn new systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Hold a current NSW driver's licence.

We’re on the hunt for a Paint Shop Manager to steer the team and keep things running at top gear! You’ll be the go-to expert, making sure quality stays high, targets are smashed, and the team keeps growing through great training and support. Working side by side with other production leads and the department manager, you’ll play a key role in driving efficiency and keeping our operations on track.

Okay, let’s talk about you:

• You have at least 2 years experience leading/ supervising a team (experience within the automotive industry would be an advantage, but not compulsory).
• You have a good understanding of automotive paint and panel, but a qualification is not necessary
• You are tech savvy and quick to learn new systems.
• You have excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• You hold a current NSW driver's Licence.

In this role you’ll be based in our St Peters, Sydney site, with room for parking and train/ bus stops nearby.
