Job summary

Inspirations Paint in Mildura is seeking a casual sales/customer service assistant to join our store team. You will help tint and mix paint, provide colour advice, and deliver an exemplary customer experience to both retail and trade customers.

Experience in paint or hardware is advantageous, with ongoing training and DuluxGroup benefits, uniform, safety shoes, and opportunities to develop your career. Availability on Saturdays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Able to provide colour advice and product knowledge.
• Willingness to learn and follow store processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer experience to retail and trade customers.
• Tinting & mixing paint, colour advice and matching.

The paint industry is a specialised industry. Relevant personal experience in home improvement projects or within the paint or hardware industries is an advantage however ongoing training will be provided to equip you with the skills required.

Responsibilities include

• Providing an exemplary customer experience to both retail and trade customers
• Tinting & mixing paint, colour advice and matching
• Following the "Inspirations Way"
• Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge in the areas of paint and protective coatings, while assisting with sales, stock control and merchandising
• Store presentation, stock management, housekeeping
• Workplace Health & Safety
• Must be available to work on Saturdays

Experience / Attributes

• Demonstrated customer service with personalised customer focus
• Well presented both in appearance and communication
• Able to contribute and work in a team environment
• Proven sales experience and a strong knowledge of paint and associated products
• Approachable, confident and energetic with a pleasant disposition and the ability to effectively deal with customer queries and/or customer complaints
• Attention to detail, initiative and the ability to learn new systems
• Honest, reliable and punctual
• This role involves heavy lifting up to 25kgs
