Job summary

Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking a Physiotherapist - Grade 1 or 2 to join the Pain Management Clinic on a part-time basis. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver biopsychosocial pain management strategies through individual and group programs.

You will assess and treat patients with persistent pain, contribute to discharge planning and collaborate with GPs. The role offers ongoing employment with professional development opportunities and a supportive work

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months clinical experience within a healthcare setting.
• Undergraduate Physiotherapy degree with current AHPRA registration as Physiotherapist.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice in relation to the management of patients with persistent pain.
• An ability to comprehensively and independently assess and treat patients with persistent pain.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual assessments and deliver evidence-based pain management strategies through individual and group programs.
• Use a biopsychosocial approach, empowering clients through exercise, pain neuroscience education, cognitive behavioural strategies, mindfulness, pacing and goal setting.
• Contribute to case conferencing, discharge planning and collaborative care with referring General Practitioners.
