Job summary

Macmahon is offering a 2026/2027 Vacation Student Engineer Program across its Western Australia surface mining operations. The 10 to 12-week paid program provides practical industry experience while you apply university knowledge and gain exposure to mine planning, maintenance and operations.

You'll work with experienced leaders, receive mentoring, and have the chance to return for future university breaks with a potential pathway to graduate opportunities at Macmahon.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Mining Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• In your 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of university (as of November 2026).
• Full Australian working rights.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must pass a pre-employment medical, including D&A screening and background checks.
