Job summary

Ternary Consulting is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as Trainee Community Support Workers across the Greater Newcastle region. The paid traineeship lasts 12 to 15 months, leading to a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021) - Aged Care.

Trainees work with real clients in homes, receive ongoing support, and are paid while training days are attended. Positions are available across Sandgate, Wallsend, Cardiff, Toronto, with travel up to about 25 minutes to support

Qualifications

• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Reliable and possess effective communication skills.
• Genuine desire to support older Australians at home.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Able to obtain and pass a National Police Check.
• Hold a NSW Driver Licence and have access to a vehicle with insurance.
• Australian or NZ citizen or permanent resident eligible for traineeship funding.
• Available to work a minimum of four consistent weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Providing domestic assistance and general household tasks.
• Bed making and room tidying.
• Assisting with shopping and errands.
• Providing transport to community appointments.
• Supporting clients with personal care tasks.
