BAI Communications is offering a paid Broadcast Technician Apprentice position in Newcastle or Wetherill Park, NSW, Australia. You will learn on-the-job, supporting field and site activities while completing a Certificate III in Electronics and Communications.

Gain hands-on experience maintaining Australia's critical broadcast networks, with opportunities across Sunshine VIC, Hamersley WA, Newcastle/Wetherill Park NSW and Townsville QLD. Applicants should be curious, practical and ready to learn.

Qualifications

• Completion of Year 12 or equivalent with strength in English, Math, Science.
• Interest in electronics, telecommunications or technology careers.
• Ability to understand and apply technical concepts.
• Strong computer literacy and confidence with digital tools.
• Current unrestricted driver's license.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified Broadcast Technicians with field and site activities.
• Support installation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Participate in preventative maintenance and fault-finding.
• Assist with site facility management and housekeeping.
• Support service restoration and elevate technical issues.
• Provide accurate verbal and written updates to NOC.
• Complete work orders and fault tickets.
• Undertake technical, safety and EME training.
• Contribute to a safe working environment by following HSE policies.
• Successfully complete the Certificate III in Electronics and Communications.
