Northern Sydney Local Health District invites a Speech Pathologist (Level 1/2) to join the Brighter Beginnings Health and Development Checks Preschool Team at Royal North Shore Community Health Centre. The role delivers developmental surveillance for preschool children in ECEC settings, collaborates with educators, and supports a structured, supervised service pathway.

The position is 32 hours per week, part time, permanent, with a pay range of 40.05–57.14 AUD per hour.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Speech Pathology eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
• Clinical paediatric Speech Pathology assessment, goal development and evaluation experience.
• Ability to apply clinical reasoning and know when to seek guidance.
• Describe understanding of developmental surveillance and screen-and-refer service.
• Strong communication with families and Early Childhood educators about observations.

Aufgaben

• Deliver developmental surveillance screening for preschool children in ECEC services.
• Perform file review, classify outcomes and determine referral pathways.
• Support allied health assistants during screening and receive supervision from senior clinicians.
• Provide timely clinical assessment and group-based intervention when required.
