Job summary

Mediix Canberra Private Practice is seeking a Speech Pathologist to manage a predominantly paediatric caseload with a small adult mix. The role combines clinic-based sessions, school visits and telehealth, backed by full admin support and structured supervision.

This private practice emphasises family-centred care and offers a flexible 4-day week and hybrid work options. The position includes a competitive salary of $80,000–$115,000 plus super, an annual PD budget, and equipment support.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as a Speech Pathologist (CPSP welcome; new graduates supported)
• Australian work rights
• Genuine interest in paediatric work and family-centred practice
• Comfortable across assessment and intervention; interest in a specialty area (feeding, AAC, literacy) is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver paediatric speech pathology assessments and interventions across clinics, school visits and telehealth
• Collaborate with a clinical lead to set realistic caseloads and provide supervision where needed
• Handle admin tasks with full support for scheduling and billing so you focus on clinical work
• Participate in weekly supervision (new grads) or monthly+ supervision for experienced clinicians
• Access established assessment tools and a shared clinical library for therapy planning

This is a private practice role in a well-regarded ACT clinic with a caseload sitting mostly across paediatrics — school-age communication, early language, literacy, articulation, social communication, and AAC where relevant.

• Predominantly paediatric caseload; a small adult mix is available if you want it
• Blend of clinic-based sessions, school visits and telehealth
