Job summary

Monash Health's Endeavour Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Team is seeking an experienced Grade 3 Occupational Therapist to contribute to specialist neurodevelopmental assessments and mental health for infants, children and young people. You will conduct comprehensive OT assessments, provide formulation and reports, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support participation and daily functioning.

You will also contribute to clinical innovation, education and research, share your OT expertise

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health and/or paediatrics or child and youth services.
• Proven ability to complete high-quality OT assessments with children and young people.
• Strong clinical reasoning, formulation and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of neurodivergence and child and youth mental health.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Clear recommendations for young people, families and clinicians.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and current clinical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OT assessment, formulation and reports for young people.
• Contribute to specialist neurodevelopmental assessments.
• Provide therapeutic assessment and feedback to young people and families.
• Provide secondary consultation to clinicians and community agencies.
• Share OT expertise in neurodiversity and mental health across ICYAMHWS.
• Contribute to clinical innovation, education and research initiatives.
