Job summary

The University of Melbourne invites applications for a Part Time Academic Lead - MD Research, based at the Melbourne Children’s Campus. You will lead the MD Research and Clinical Scholar streams, supporting students and supervisors to shape high-quality paediatric research projects and outputs.

You will monitor progress, recruit academic and clinical supervisors, and foster enduring campus partnerships to build long-term research capacity across our campus partners, while aligning with the 0.2

Qualifications

• Hold specialist registration with AHPRA and eligibility for medical registration in Victoria.
• Possess FRACP in General Paediatrics or an equivalent specialist paediatric qualification.
• Demonstrate paediatric research experience and postgraduate research training.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership for MD Research and Clinical Scholar streams on Melbourne Children’s Campus.
• Monitor student progress and coordinate targeted support with supervisors and clinical school staff.
• Recruit, engage, and support research and clinical supervisors, building partnerships across the campus.
• Oversee research projects, manage expressions of interest, and ensure high-quality scholarly experiences.
