Job summary

NSW Health is seeking an Assistant in Nursing for the Children’s Short Stay Unit at The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, Westmead, on a permanent full‑time basis.

You will support nursing staff in delivering safe, compassionate and family‑centred paediatric care in a fast‑paced CSSU setting, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a busy and changing environment.
• Willingness to participate in mandatory training and comply with NSW Health policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of quality, individualised paediatric care under a Registered Nurse.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate ethical behaviour.
• Respect patients’ rights and participate in the NSW Health framework.
• Adhere to the SCHN and NSW Health position descriptions and guidelines.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience within the CSSU team.
