Job summary

NSW Health at Westmead Children's Short Stay Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Temporary Full Time role. You will care for paediatric patients in a 32-bed unit with 38 hours per week, supporting families and working within a dynamic team.

The role requires at least 1 year post graduate RN experience; paediatric exposure is not mandatory, but a keen paediatric interest is valued. Applications close 4 October 2026.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year post graduate RN experience is required.
• Paediatric experience not required, but a genuine paediatric interest is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families.
• Work in CSSU to manage paediatric patients up to 72 hours for discharge or transfer.
