Healthscope's Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the PACU team. The role offers part-time or full-time hours in a fast-paced, high-quality patient care environment in Brisbane.

Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration, with at least 2 years in Recovery/Anaesthetics, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Perioperative Care or progress toward it. Annual earnings are aligned with the Healthscope Queensland Nurses Enterprise Agreement.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with AHPRA is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in Recovery and/or Anaesthetics.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Periop or working towards.
• Current Advance Life Support is required.
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
• Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Works well independently and within a team.

Responsabilités

• Provide evidenced based nursing care.
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Ensure patient and staff safety.
• Deliver education and support to individuals for health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs.
• Maintain current ARHP registration and ongoing professional development.
• Support PACU processes and patient flow.
• Adhere to sectional policies and infection control standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Document accurately and communicate changes to the team.
• Assist in handovers and post-surgical care planning.
• Provide compassionate care to patients and families.
