Nexus Hospitals in Bundaberg, QLD, Australia, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Recovery/PACU, full-time or part-time. You will support the smooth running of our day-surgery focused facility with a patient-first approach, contributing to high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Recovery/PACU nursing in a hospital setting.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with patients, doctors and colleagues.
• Strong time management, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient wellbeing and administer safe, high-quality treatment tailored to each stage of their hospital stay.
• Prepare for safe surgery by ensuring the facility, equipment and environment are ready.
• Maintain clear team communication, assess progress, respond to changes or complications.
• Support patient recovery after discharge with clear education and reassurance.
• Supervise and support colleagues on shift to promote safe practice.
• Promote continuous improvement, safety and excellence across the hospital.
