Job summary

Asahi Beverages is seeking a Reliability Technical Specialist - Packer to own packer machine reliability within the Packaging team in Huntingwood, NSW. You will drive maintenance excellence, develop SOPs, and coach operators and technicians to improve production performance.

You will use SAP maintenance tools, lead problem-solving efforts (RCA/5 Whys), and participate in capital projects while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across all activities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary or trade qualification in engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in packaging maintenance in FMCG.
• Deep knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment.
• Strong SAP maintenance module skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of packer machines, ensuring high reliability and availability.
• Lead maintenance plans, schedules and work instructions with planners.
• Coach technicians and operators; develop clear SOPs.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and escalation support for breakdowns.
• Drive improvements through data analysis, RCA and reliability programs.
• Support new product implementations and changeover documentation.
• Participate in capital projects and ensure equipment meets standards.
• Champion safety, quality and compliance across activities.
• Conduct equipment audits and support Autonomous Maintenance.
