Job summary

Limitless Recruitment has partnered with a proudly Australian owned supplier to recruit a Sales Manager based in Melbourne. You will lead horizontal and vertical packaging machine sales across Victoria and South Australia, owning accounts from prospecting to closing.

You will collaborate with Service, Spare Parts, Logistics, and global suppliers, becoming the go-to expert on thermoforming, tray sealing, and VFFS solutions in the food sector.

Qualifications

• 10+ years B2B capital equipment sales experience.
• 10+ years packaging industry knowledge (thermoformers, tray sealers, VFFS).
• Existing network across Australian and/or NZ food processors.
• Proven track record meeting sales, margin and order targets.
• Ability to explain technical equipment in business terms.
• CRM forecasting experience (ideally Salesforce).
• Self-motived, organized, able to manage large territory.
• Willingness to travel regularly Australia/NZ, occasional overseas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow packaging equipment sales across VIC and SA for red meat and fish.
• Prospect new customers and build a robust pipeline; identify aftermarket and upgrade opportunities.
• Visit customer sites to understand processes, challenges and investment plans.
• Prepare quotes and project costings; negotiate terms; manage Trial-to-Buy and rental agreements.
• Run product demonstrations with Service; coordinate with global suppliers.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and monthly forecasts in Salesforce; provide forecasts to GM.
• Represent the business at trade shows and exhibitions.
