Job summary

Henkel Ltda in Sydney, NSW, seeks a packaging professional to lead development and execution of innovative packaging solutions for consumer brands at the Ingleburn site. You will oversee lab activities, data systems and ensure quality, cost, sustainability and consumer appeal from concept to launch.

The role requires a degree in Packaging or related engineering and a minimum of 3 years in packaging within FMCG, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Packaging, Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a packaging role within FMCG or a similar industry.
• Experience using packaging measurement and testing equipment, with strong analytical, problem-solving and statistical analysis skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and statistical analysis software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, creative and collaborative team player with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative packaging solutions meeting quality, cost, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
• Support promotional packaging activities and brand requirements.
• Lead packaging qualification and validation activities and approve packaging artwork.
• Maintain packaging specification databases and perform data management and statistics.
• Identify materials and technologies to reduce costs and drive competitive advantage.
• Support Henkel’s sustainability agenda and compliance with APCO covenants.
• Monitor packaging trends and emerging technologies for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers, R&D teams and stakeholders while ensuring GMP-like practices.
