Visy is seeking a Packaging Engineer in Brisbane to own the development and optimisation of corrugated packaging solutions. You will work with customers, sales and manufacturing to deliver smarter, more efficient outcomes, lead trials, influence design decisions and drive continuous improvement.

This hands-on, customer-facing role focuses on improving packaging performance and cost, collaborating across Sales, Design and Operations to deliver measurable outcomes while ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging, manufacturing or product development (corrugated highly regarded).
• Strong understanding of packaging design, materials and production processes.
• Ability to balance technical requirements with commercial outcomes.
• Experience working directly with customers in a solutions-focused role.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Confident stakeholder engagement across operations and sales.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and innovation.

Reporting to the State Sales Manager this role sits at the centre of engineering, design and commercial delivery.

As a Packaging Engineer, you’ll take ownership of developing and optimising corrugated packaging solutions, working closely with customers, sales and manufacturing teams to deliver smarter, more efficient outcomes.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll lead trials, influence design decisions and drive continuous improvement across both customer and plant environments.
