Job summary

Garlo's Pies is seeking an experienced Post Production Coordinator to join our Australian-made manufacturing operation. This role combines hands-on leadership, people management, quality control and problem-solving to keep post production running smoothly, achieve daily targets and uphold safety and foodquality standards.

About the opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Post Production Coordinator to join our food manufacturing operation.

This role combines hands-on leadership, people management, quality control and problem-solving and plays an important role in keeping post production running smoothly, achieving daily targets and maintaining high standards across safety, food safety, quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the Wrapping and Packing functions.

Coach and develop Line Leaders and their teams, including building 2IC capability, succession planning and cross-skilling.

Ensure production schedules, line start/finish times and targets are achieved.

Manage labour requirements and rostering in line with the production plan and approved labour budget.

Monitor attendance, absenteeism, leave and employee performance.

Maintain strong HACCP, GMP, QCP/CCP and workplace safety standards.

Monitor product quality and work to reduce waste and seconds.

Investigate customer complaints and NCRs and implement appropriate corrective and preventative actions.

Coordinate with Kitchen, Pastry, Warehouse and other departments to minimise production disruptions.

Identify and prioritise maintenance requirements affecting productivity, labour or yield.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who can combine strong people leadership with operational discipline. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, making decisions on the floor and holding yourself and others accountable for results.

Previous coordination experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, production, warehousing or a similar operational environment.

Strong people leadership, coaching and performance management skills.

A solid understanding of planning, labour management and productivity.

Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to operational disruptions.

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

A continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.
