We are seeking a hands-on, customer-focused consultant to work closely with an industrial customer, helping optimize maintenance, reliability, and shutdown operations through innovative software and AI-driven solutions. In this role, you will serve as the primary onsite resource, building strong relationships and developing a deep understanding of the customer's operational workflows. You will configure, fine-tune, and troubleshoot AI-enabled tools in real time, ensuring they deliver practical value in complex industrial environments. Working closely with product, engineering, and professional services teams, you will translate customer feedback into actionable insights that improve technology and user outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to combine industrial expertise, technical problem-solving, and customer advisory work in a growing field. As the engagement develops, you may also help identify opportunities for additional training, consulting, and software adoption.

Accountabilities
  • Work primarily onsite at the assigned customer facility, acting as the dedicated point of contact and building trusted day-to-day relationships with stakeholders.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the customer's maintenance, reliability, and shutdown/turnaround processes to identify operational needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot AI-enabled software tools in real time, adapting them to the customer's workflows and operational requirements.
  • Gather observations and feedback from the customer environment and communicate actionable insights to product and engineering teams to support continuous AI product improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers, functional consultants, and professional services teams to align implementation activities with customer objectives and maintain progress.
  • Investigate, analyze, document, and resolve customer issues, providing clear updates, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Identify opportunities for additional training, consulting services, and software licensing based on the customer's evolving needs.
  • Coordinate with internal specialists and technical teams when necessary to ensure effective support and a consistent customer experience.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in maintenance, reliability, and/or shutdown and turnaround operations within an industrial, plant, or comparable operational environment.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts, including variables, functions, arguments, and scope, with the ability to work confidently with technical software tools.
  • Comfort working hands-on with AI-assisted systems and adapting technology to real-world operational processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and translate findings into practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to build relationships, manage expectations, and explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite at the assigned customer facility and collaborate with distributed internal teams.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or enterprise asset management (EAM) platforms is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with work ticketing and service management platforms such as ServiceNow, JIRA, Salesforce, or TeamSupport is preferred.
  • Exposure to AI and machine learning tools, SQL or relational databases, API platforms such as Postman or Insomnia, or web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and XML is beneficial.
  • Experience in mining, oil and gas, or other heavy industrial environments, as well as familiarity with agile development practices, is an additional advantage.
Benefits
  • Full-time employment: A permanent-style full-time role within a professional services environment; specific employment terms are to be confirmed by the hiring company.
  • Innovative technology exposure: Hands-on experience configuring and improving AI-enabled tools for real-world industrial operations.
  • Customer-facing ownership: The opportunity to build a close working relationship with a dedicated customer and influence operational outcomes directly.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work alongside product, engineering, project management, and consulting specialists.
  • Professional growth: Potential to expand from day-to-day technical configuration and support into broader advisory, consulting, and customer development responsibilities.
  • Product impact: Contribute practical customer insights that help shape future improvements to AI tools and industrial software solutions.
