Job summary

NCS Australia is expanding its AI & Power Platform Solutions team in Melbourne. We seek an AI & Power Platform Technical Lead to architect and implement secure, scalable AI and automation solutions using Microsoft Foundry, Azure services and Power Platform.

You will guide cross-functional delivery teams, translate complex business needs, and drive production deployments from discovery to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an AI technical lead or solution architect in enterprise AI deployments.
• Proven track record delivering Power Platform outcomes in large-scale IT projects, end-to-end.
• Hands-on with LLM model selection, prompt and agent design, grounding and integration with Microsoft services.
• Strong AI experience with AI-assisted software development, coding, testing and security standards.
• Pro-code development with APIs, services, connectors and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power Platform and AI solutions.
• Own end-to-end architecture, design and implementation of AI solutions using Foundry, Azure AI, Copilot and Power Platform.
• Choose delivery pattern based on complexity, security, performance and supportability.
• Design and build production-ready agents with orchestration, grounding, tools, APIs and ERP integrations.

Job Description

NCS is significantly expanding its capabilities in intelligent automation and digital transformation. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI & Power Platform Technical Lead to join our rapidly growing AI & Power Platform Solutions team.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the architecture, design and implementation of secure, enterprise-grade AI and automation solutions using Microsoft Foundry, GitHub Copilot, pro-code development frameworks, Azure services and the Microsoft Power Platform. You will translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions, guide multidisciplinary delivery teams and take solutions from discovery and prototyping through production deployment and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power Platform and AI solutions.
• Own the end-to-end architecture, design and implementation of AI solutions using Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI services, GitHub Copilot and Power Platform.
• Select and apply the appropriate low-code, pro-code or hybrid delivery pattern based on solution complexity, integration, security, performance and supportability requirements.
• Design and build production-ready agents, including orchestration, knowledge grounding, retrieval-augmented generation, tools and actions, APIs, connectors and enterprise system integrations.
• Lead pro-code engineering using Azure-native services, APIs, SDKs and modern development practices to extend AI capabilities beyond low-code platform constraints.
• Define solution architecture, non-functional requirements, security controls, responsible AI guardrails, testing strategy, application lifecycle management, monitoring and operational support models.
• Facilitate and run scoping and discovery workshops to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered.
• Shape and lead all ongoing planning, design and technical conversations with our customers.
• Craft technical visions by mapping requirements to technical capabilities and translate into functional designs and technical specifications.
• Lead technical resources for both onshore and offshore squad teams on AI or Power Platform engagements, ensuring quality and timely completion.
• Assist in Pre-sales engagements, create estimates and designs for bespokesolutions, and develop go-to-market offering.
• Mentor junior consultants and share best practices.
• Coordinate testing, deployments and production support, as well as troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
• Ability to work within a newly created practice as internal processes and frameworks are defined.
• Ability to be a mentor project team members while juggling customer and internal demands.
• Able to prioritise a variety of tasks across multiple clients and delivery tasks
• Travel flexibility to go meet and work with on delivering solutions to our customers

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an AI technical lead, solution architect or senior engineer designing and implementing enterprise AI solutions from concept through production.
• A strong track record in delivering quality Power Platform outcomes with demonstrable project success within large scale, enterprise-level IT projects, end-to-end
• Hands‑on expertise with different LLM model selection, prompt and agent design, grounding, evaluation, deployment, observability and integration with Microsoft services.
• Strong AI experience, using AI‑assisted software development capabilities to accelerate solution design, coding, testing, documentation, code review and modernisation while maintaining engineering quality and security standards.
• Pro‑code development capability in one or more relevant languages and frameworks, with experience building APIs, services, custom connectors and integrations using source control, automated testing and CI/CD.
• Practical knowledge of generative AI patterns, including retrieval‑augmented generation, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, model evaluation, content safety and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
• Experience applying identity, access, data protection, networking, logging, governance and responsible AI requirements to enterprise AI solutions.
• Highly developed written communication ability, including production of high‑quality technical artefacts and presales contributions (proposals, presentations, SOWs) writing requirements, configuration, testing and deployment documents
• Experience working within an agile delivery framework
• Expert Organisational Skills: Experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi‑task and always work with a client‑focused approach
• Qualifications
• IT Degree or equivalent in employment experience
• Microsoft certified in AI and D365/Power Platform
• Relevant Microsoft AI certifications are highly regarded.
