Job Q in Melbourne's South East is seeking a P&C Business Partner to own the Victorian remit across a workforce of around 150 employees. You will partner with operational leaders and leaders across the business to influence strategy and people outcomes.

You'll drive culture, capability and engagement, manage complex ER matters, and contribute to national HR projects including AI, automation and systems improvements. Hybrid working is offered.

Competenze

• 5+ years' experience at P&C Business Partner level
• Construction industry or similar experience
• Experience with blue-collar, casualised and field-based workforces
• Strong end-to-end P&C and complex employee relations experience
• Comfortable partnering with senior operational leaders and challenging when needed
• Experience across multi-site operations
• Pragmatic, commercial and consultative approach
• Able to operate in grey areas and find solutions

P&C Business Partner | Melbourne South East | $150K + Super

The successful person will also have the opportunity to contribute to a pipeline of more than 20 national P&C initiatives, including work across AI, automation and future HR systems.

Your new role Based in Melbourne's South East and reporting directly to the Victorian General Manager, you'll own the P&C partnering remit across a workforce of approximately 150 employees, supported by a P&C Coordinator and broader national P&C team. This isn't a P&C role that sits on the sidelines. You'll work closely with operational leaders, get out across the branches and become a trusted partner who understands what the business is trying to achieve. Your remit will include:

• Partnering with the GM and operational leaders on strategic and day-to-day people matters
• Managing complex ER matters including performance, conduct, investigations and terminations
• Coaching leaders and supporting workforce planning and organisational change
• Driving culture, engagement and leadership capability across Victoria
• Supporting enterprise agreement and broader IR matters
• Leading and developing the P&C Coordinator
• Using people data to identify opportunities and support decision-making
• Contributing to national projects across HR technology, AI, automation and process improvement

You'll have the scope to operate strategically while remaining close to the action. The national P&C function also has a significant pipeline of projects, creating opportunities to take ownership of initiatives that genuinely interest you.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll be an experienced P&C Business Partner who enjoys a fast-moving operational environment and can add value from day one. You'll bring:

• 5+ years' experience at P&C Business Partner level
• Previous experience within the construction industry or similar industries
• Experience partnering with blue-collar, casualised and field-based workforces
• Strong end-to-end P&C and complex employee relations experience
• Confidence in partnering with senior operational leaders and constructively challenging when needed
• Experience across multi-site operations
• A pragmatic, commercial and consultative approach
• The ability to operate comfortably in the grey and find solutions rather than simply identify problems

Above all, you'll be down to earth, resilient and comfortable getting into the business. You'll be equally confident discussing strategy with the GM as you are visiting a branch and building relationships with the workforce.
