Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia seeks a Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Manager to lead the MRO team supporting the P-8A Poseidon program at RAAF Base Edinburgh. You will oversee day-to-day MRO services, training, apprenticeship oversight, safety management, and field services, with domestictic/international travel as needed.

The role requires Australian citizenship, Defence security clearance readability, and experience in aviation maintenance leadership within a high tempo environment.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship and ability to meet Defence security requirements.
• Formal qualifications in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, PM or a technical discipline.
• Proven experience leading technical teams in aviation maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize requirements.

The opportunity

We are seeking interest from talented and motivated Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul MRO Professionals, with the desire to join the Boeing team in support of our P-8A Poseidon Maintenance Team. Accountable to the P-8A MRO Services Manager, you will be primarily responsible for day to day oversight and execution of MRO support services including Aircraft Support Equipment Maintenance and Operations, MRO Training Support, Apprenticeship Program oversight, Aviation Safety Management and P-8A Field Services Support. Inthis role you will be based at RAAF Base Edinburgh and focused on Boeing commitment to maintaining the P-8A Poseidon Fleet. Successful applicants may be required to travel domestically or internationally, with this scope of work being achieved through effective management of both Boeing and customer governance and assurance compliance, so we are looking for candidates who are adaptable, flexible, and eager to embrace all aspects of this position.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications:Formal qualifications in either Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, Project Management or a Technical Discipline.
• Skills:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate between stakeholders of differing backgrounds and experiences
• Business acumen to ensure prioritisation and pragmatic deconfliction of competing requirements across multiple stakeholders
• Emotional intelligence to intuitively identify and action stakeholders needs when conducting business in a high tempo environment
• Experience:Proven experience in managing and leading teams of technical personnel, preferably in an aviation maintenance environment.
• Demonstrated ability to balance customer and business priorities to meet required outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a high paced operational environment.
• Knowledge:Familiarity with DASR requirements, ISO standards related to Quality Management Systems, Safety Management Systems, and Environmental Management Systems.
