Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join the P-8A Poseidon program at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide. You will perform hands‑on maintenance, inspections and fault‑finding on aircraft systems, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with the MRO team, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain meticulous documentation. Eligible candidates may have CASA/DASA licences and relevant military aircraft experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics or Structures) required.
• Australian Citizenship to meet Defence security requirements.
• Current driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing, inspections, testing and fault‑finding on aircraft systems.
• Collaborate with MRO team to ensure timely task completion.
• Ensure compliance with DASR Part 145 MOE regulations.

The Opportunity

We're looking for skilled, driven individuals to join the P-8A Poseidon Program at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you'll be hands‑on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing and fault‑finding on aircraft systems.

You will:

• Collaborating with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion,
• Ensuring compliance within the DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations.
• Fostering effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers, and industry teams
• Ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and meticulous documentation practices.
• Embrace a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritizing the well‑being of all personnel.

What you will bring to BDA

As an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics or Structures)
• Be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements
• Hold a current driver's licence.

Desirable

• Previous experience working with Military aircraft.
• Hold a CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence
