Job summary

Sunshine Coast Independent Living Service Ltd (SCILS) in Nambour, QLD is seeking experienced Overnight Inactive Sleepover Support Workers to join our SIL homes across the Sunshine Coast. You will provide on-site overnight presence, respond to needs, assist with personal care, and follow individual support plans to promote dignity and independence.

Ideal candidates have disability sector experience, a calm, resident-centred approach, and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Experience in the disability, community services, or NDIS sector.
• Certificate III in ID Support or equivalent.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Current Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
• Smartphone for communication and rostering purposes.
• Availability to work inactive sleepover shifts, including weekends where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, respectful, and person-centred support within a SIL environment.
• Remain onsite and available throughout the inactive sleepover period.
• Respond appropriately to participant needs during the night.
• Support personal care and daily living tasks where required.
• Follow individual support plans, behaviour support plans, and organisational procedures.
• Maintain a safe, calm, and welcoming home environment.
• Promote participant independence, choice, and dignity.
• Complete accurate shift documentation and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members.
• Work collaboratively with the wider SIL team to ensure continuity of care and support.
• Maintain professional boundaries while working within participants' homes.
