North Melbourne Primary School's Biz-E-Kidz OSHC is seeking an experienced Coordinator to lead and manage the Before and After School Care,Vacation Care and Pupil-Free Day programs across the Errol Street and Molesworth Street campuses.
The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, compliance with the National Quality Framework, and collaboration with the Principal, School Council and families to ensure safe, inclusive programs for Prep to Grade 6.

Biz-E-Kidz is the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service at North Melbourne Primary School, operating across the Molesworth Street and Errol Street campuses. The service provides Before School Care, After School Care, Vacation Care and Pupil-Free Day Care for students from Prep to Grade 6. The OSHC program offers before and after care services between the hours of 7:15am - 8.45am and 3.15 - 6:00pm.
The service currently operates across both campuses, with different programs catering for Prep, Junior and Senior students. Before School Care and Vacation Care operate from the Errol Street campus, while After School Care operates across both campuses. The service also provides a Prep Transition Program at the beginning of each school year to support students to become familiar with the OSHC environment.

Biz-E-Kidz operates as a not-for-profit service, primarily funded through user fees and available grants. Any surplus is directed towards the ongoing development and improvement of the service.
Established in 1977 and known as Biz-E-Kidz since 2004, the service is an established part of the North Melbourne Primary School community.
Biz-E-Kidz operates within the National Quality Framework and is committed to ongoing quality improvement and continuous development of its programs, practices and service delivery.
Following Assessment and Rating processes undertaken at the Errol Street and Molesworth Street services, both services received an overall rating of Meeting the National Quality Standard, with a rating of ‘Meeting’ across all seven Quality Areas
Attendance requirement for this position is full-time (5 days per week). Span of hours and rostering arrangements (including any split shifts and non-contact administrative time) will be negotiated with the Principal and will be scheduled to span the service's hours of operation (between 7:00am and 6:00pm).
The successful candidate will be required to work during the school holidays where the service offers vacation care. The successful candidate will be paid leave purchase allowance to compensate for time worked over the school holidays, and their additional paid leave will be reduced accordingly.
The OSHC service will close between the last day of school and the New Year period. The OSHC Manager will not be required to work during this period.
Liaise with and provide information to parents, staff and students regarding OSHC procedures, policies and service arrangements.
Manage the day-to-day staffing requirements and operational delivery of the OSHC program.
Provide administrative support to the Principal, School Council and leadership team and prepare documentation as required for the school community.
Provide administrative support to internal staff and external service providers as required.
Manage student enrolments, medical information, attendance records and incident documentation in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and school policies.
Lead continuous improvement of the OSHC service while ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and relevant school policies and procedures.
Provide timely reports and advice to the Principal and School Council through the OSHC Subcommittee.
With support from the OSHC Finance Manager:
Support the preparation of the annual OSHC budget and manage program expenditure and revenue in accordance with agreed targets.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources, including purchasing, equipment and maintenance.
Monitor and analyse attendance and financial data to assess operational efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide advice and recommendations regarding the financial and operational management of the service.
Provide leadership, supervision, professional support and development for OSHC staff.
Lead recruitment, selection and induction processes in accordance with relevant legislation, school policies and merit-based processes.
Establish clear expectations and support staff to meet professional, operational and regulatory requirements.
Manage day-to-day staffing and personnel matters, seeking guidance from senior leadership where required for complex matters.
Support the development of work practices that promote child safety, wellbeing, occupational health and safety and regulatory compliance.
Foster a collaborative, reflective and positive team culture that promotes shared responsibility, professional learning and distributed leadership.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Principal, school leadership, School Council, OSHC Subcommittee, staff, children and families.
