Job summary

City of Monash in Melbourne is seeking a Landscape and Playspaces Officer to maintain our open space assets as part of the Landscape and Playspaces team. This permanent role requires a friendly, team-oriented approach and a love of working outdoors.

Based in Notting Hill, you will carry out duties from playground inspections to minor landscaping, with opportunities for training and career development within a supportive council environment.

Qualifications

• Current manual Victorian drivers' license.
• Medium Rigid Truck license or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Some experience in landscape maintenance and equipment.
• Pre-employment Medical Assessment.
• Employee Working with Children's Check.
• Satisfactory National Police Check.
• Valid Right to Work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining landscape assets such as reserve bollard fencing.
• Playground inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Minor landscaping, unsealed path maintenance/construction.
• Nature strip reinstatements.
• Operation and minor maintenance of machinery/equipment.
