Job summary

City of Palmerston is seeking a dedicated landscape maintenance worker to care for the CBD and open spaces. You will manage vegetation, perform cleaning, graffiti removal and minor repairs while operating small plant and power tools.

A current MR Class NT licence and a few years of hands‑on experience are essential. You will also support projects and events, follow WHS guidelines, record work, and assist with traffic management when required.

Qualifications

• Two years' practical experience in minor infrastructure, irrigation and/or landscaping.
• Current MR Class NT Driver's Licence.
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance and basic irrigation.
• Ability to safely operate small plant and power tools.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Palmerston CBD and open spaces, including vegetation management, cleaning, litter collection and graffiti removal.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, plant and equipment; support council projects and events.
• Follow WHS requirements and council procedures; record and report work.
