Job summary

YMCA Victoria is seeking a Program Coordinator for Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Camp to lead camp programs and supervise staff daily. You will work with groups, ensure learning outcomes, and manage logistics to deliver engaging outdoor experiences.

You will uphold safety standards, including risk management, first aid, and compliance, while fostering teamwork, professional development, and strong relationships with schools and community groups.

Qualifications

• Leadership and coordination experience in youth outdoor programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships.
• Proactive, professional, and well-organised with problem solving.
• Experience supervising staff, volunteers and placements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, supervise and train program staff and volunteers.
• Lead delivery of camp programs and ensure learning outcomes.
• Liaise with camp, visiting groups and ensure their needs are met.
• Ensure risk management procedures and Australian Adventure Activity Standards are followed.
