Job summary

Wannon Region Water Corporation invites applications for a Civil Maintenance Operator in Warrnambool. This full-time, permanent role requires no experience and offers training and development opportunities. You’ll perform maintenance to support our water and sewerage network assets.

Daily tasks include monitoring field data, promoting safe work practices, and supporting contractor activities. After training, you may join an on-call roster as part of the team.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Willing to obtain a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices when undertaking manual tasks and operating machinery.
• Enjoys working outdoors and contributing to practical maintenance and civil works.
• Good communication and teamwork to support a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record information using field-based work management systems to meet performance targets.
• Ensure safe work practices are applied in daily activities and promote safety for staff and the public.
• Oversee contractors working on assets and ensure activities are carried out safely per policies and procedures.
• Identify ongoing improvement opportunities to deliver high-quality services for customers.
• After qualifying period, undertake on-call duties as part of the team roster.
