Wannon Water is seeking a Civil Maintenance Operator for our Warrnambool team. This ongoing, full-time position offers a salary of $74,335 to $78,300 per year plus superannuation and an on-call allowance with overtime.

You will perform maintenance on our water and sewerage network, monitor assets, and support safe work practices. The role also involves supervising contractors and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must obtain a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to safe work practices when undertaking manual tasks and operating machinery.
• Enjoys working outdoors and contributing to practical maintenance and civil works.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues and communicates effectively to support a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities to support the efficient operation of our water and sewerage network assets.
• Monitor and record information using field-based work management systems to ensure targets are met.
• Promote and apply safe work practices to protect staff and the public.
• Oversee contractors working on assets and ensure activities comply with policies and procedures.
• Identify ongoing improvements to deliver high-quality services for our customers.
