Job summary

Mlka Hospitality Recruitment is seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand / Housekeeper for a busy owner-operated hotel in Cloncurry, Outback Queensland. The role covers kitchen, housekeeping, and occasional other areas, with hands-on work and a social team environment.

You will handle dishwashing, food prep, plating, serving meals, and supporting passes and bar areas, with RSA certificate preferred and minimum 6 months in a fast-paced venue.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen or high-volume hospitality
• RSA certificate or valid certificate
• Willingness to work across kitchen, housekeeping and other areas

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing and cleaning in general kitchen hand duties
• Assisting chefs with food preparation and basic cooking
• Plating meals during service
• Running meals to customers
• Assisting with kitchen pass
• Support catering and function orders
• Assisting with housekeeping duties as required
• Occasional work in bottle shop or bar area
• Support wider team with general operational duties
