Job summary

Downer's Energy & Utilities is seeking casual Special Class Welders for outage services at Bayswater Power Station, Muswellbrook, NSW. Starts in late September with mechanical and project work through the outage period.

You will perform piping setup, structural and boiler casing fabrication to precise standards, while prioritising safety and quality. This role requires a Welding trade qualification, the ability to pass an X-ray weld test, and full working rights in Australia with White Card,

Qualifications

• Must hold a Welding trade qualification with experience on power station projects.
• Able to pass an X-ray weld test on boiler tubes prior to on-site work.
• Team oriented with strong communication and safety focus.
• Hold Australian working rights, White Card, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets; pre-employment medical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outage welding, piping setup, structural and boiler casings work.
• Ensure safe, compliant completion of fabrication and welding tasks.
• Work across day and night shifts on rostered outages.
