Job summary

Community Services #1 is seeking a Casual Out of Hospital Home Care Worker to deliver high-quality, person-centred care that supports independence and wellbeing in Bega.

The role requires a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, current First Aid/CPR, a valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle, and the ability to obtain police and Working with Children checks. You will work in a supportive team with development opportunities and free parking.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent with 3+ months aged care experience.
• Current First Aid and CPR.
• Current Driver's License and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Able to obtain pre-employment checks (Police Check and Working with Children Check).
• Strong documentation and confidentiality practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver home care services aligned to Out of Hospital Care goals.
• Provide domestic assistance, personal care, support services that assist recovery and independence.
• Assist participants during the end of life stages of care.
• Apply duty of care and safe work practices in client homes, and identify, document, and escalation OHC escalation triggers promptly.

About the role:

• Deliver home care services aligned to Out of Hospital Care goals.
• Provide domestic assistance, personal care, support services that assist recovery and independence.
• Assist participants during the end of life stages of care.
• Apply duty of care and safe work practices in client homes, and identify, document, and escalation OHC escalation triggers promptly.

About you:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, relevant experience delivering home care/aged care support (domestic assistance and/or personal care) and 3+ months aged carer experience.
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Current Driver’s License and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Able to obtain required pre-employment checks (Police Check and Working with Children Check)
• Strong documentation and confidentiality practice.
