Job summary

YMCA Brisbane Kedron Outside School Hours Care service is seeking a passionate Coordinator for a six-month contract. You will lead a dedicated team of educators, develop engaging, child-led programs and play a key role in building inclusive, vibrant communities.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance, safety and high-quality service while fostering strong connections with families, schools and the local community to create a safe space for children to grow and thrive.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and service operations
• Strong communication, leadership and time-management skills
• Must hold a valid Blue Card or willingness to obtain
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service
• Develop fun, child-led programs
• Lead and support a team of educators
• Ensure high standards in compliance, administration, and safety
• Build connections with families, schools and the local community
• Create a safe, inclusive environment for all children
