Job summary

Windermere is seeking qualified casual OSHC Lead or Assistant Educators to deliver engaging activities for school‑aged children across its leisure‑based programs. The role involves collaboration with families and school communities and may require shifts at Koo Wee Rup, Drouin South, Lang Lang or Bayles locations.

Opportunities include before/after school care and school holiday programs, with emphasis on safety, inclusivity and high‑quality outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate III in Early Childhood Education is required or enrolled.
• ACECQA‑approved qualification for Educators working with preschool children is preferred.
• Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education or Physical Education in progress is an advantage.
• Current First Aid (HLTAID004) and a valid Working with Children’s Check are required.
• Current Victorian Drivers' Licence is desirable.

Our OSHC team is seeking to find our next superstar Lead andAssistant Educators in a casual capacity. You may be required to work across multiple locations including - Koo Wee Rup, Drouin South, Lang Lang or Bayles.

In addition to our school term program, we also run an exciting and fun filled OSHC School Holiday Program from our Koo Wee Rup location during the Victorian public school holidays. Running for 2 weeks each term break and 3 weeks every January. The Program runs every Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:30pm, offering extended hours and a great opportunity for staff to pick up additional work during these busy holiday periods. This is open to all staff in the OSHC program

Currently this program focuses on providing before and after school care from Monday to Friday and the roster hours are as follows:

Monday: 6.15-8.45 & 3.15-6.30

Tuesday: 6.15-8.45 & 3.15-6.30

Thursday: 6.15-8.45 & 3.15-6.30

Friday: 6.15-8.45 & 3.15-6.30

We are seeking Casual Assistant Educators to join our Out of Hours Care (OSHC) program for our services in the Southeast. This is an exciting opportunity to not only gain valuable work experience, but to really make the role your own by bringing your infectious energy in delivering a unique, inclusive and fun-filled play-based programs to school agechildren. Furthermore, you will:

• Assist in planning, preparing and delivering innovative play-based learning activities
• Develop professional working relationships with families, school leaders in the school community
• Maintain excellent health, safety and wellbeing of children

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Be Diploma / Certificate III qualified in Early Childhood Education (or enrolled and working towards)
• Currently completing your Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education or Physical Education
• Have the relevant First Aid Certificate (HLTAID004)
• Hold a valid Working with Children’s Employee Check
• Demonstrated ability in working within the National Quality Framework

Desired Skills and Experience

• ACECQA approved qualification for Educators working with over preschool children
• Current Victorian Working with Children’s Employee Check
• Level 2 First Aid, includingCPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management training or willingness to undertake
• Understanding of the needs and development of school age children
• Previous experience and/or Food Safety Handling certificate would be an advantage
• Demonstrated experience in working within the National Quality Framework
• Demonstrated ability and understanding of developing positive relationships with children and families
• Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible.
• Current Victorian Drivers' Licence free from conditions.
• Willingness to undertake relevant pre‑employment screening and checks - including Police Check and Pre‑Employment Medical check.
• Right to Work in Australia e.g. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or visa holder with full working rights.
