Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking a Casual Educator to join the OSHC Holiday HQ team at Helping Hands Moreton Downs. The role focuses on creating fun, engaging activities for primary school children during school holidays, while aligning with your university timetable.

Applicants should be university students, teacher's aides, or school officers with a genuine love for working with children and strong communication skills. Shifts are at Holiday HQ across school holidays, typically 6am-6pm.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and school communities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering engaging OSHC activities for primary school children.
• Help plan and run holiday program activities in a safe environment.
• Work around university timetable and placements while delivering quality care.

This role will mainly work Holiday HQ shifts across school holidays, block shifts 6am-6pm.

Who are we looking for?

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
• Must have valid Australian work rights.
