Job summary

YMCA Victoria is hiring a Permanent Educator for Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs at Wilandra Rise Primary School. The role is part-time (32.5 hours/week) with shifts 6:30am-9am and 2:30pm-6:30pm, Monday to Friday; holiday hours 7:00am-6:00pm. Salary starts at $32/hour plus retention payment and superannuation.

You will empower children, work with an OSHC team, and foster relationships with families and the school community while delivering engaging programs.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved qualification (or be enrolled in a course)
• Current First Aid in an Education & Care Setting or equivalent
• Victorian Working with Children Check – employee check
• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting & Other Obligations
• National child safety training – Foundation training

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging OSHC sessions for before/after school care and school holiday programs.
• Assist in facilitating activities under the supervision of a Coordinator.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and the school community.

What’s the opportunity?

Y Victoria is currently seeking a Permanent Educator for our Before and After School Care and School Holiday Programs within Wilandra Rise Primary School. This is a permanent part-time position (32.5 hours per week) with working hours from 6:30am-9am & 2:30pm-6:30pm Monday to Friday. School holiday working hours across 7:00am to 6:00pm.

The hourly rate for the position is $32 p/hour onwards (depending on your qualification & experience) + ECEC retention payment + super.

As an Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator you will be dedicated to empowering young children and have a passion for providing engaging experiences. Supported by the OSHC team and an experienced Coordinator, you will enhance positive relationships with children, families and the school community while facilitating our Before and After School Care sessions and School Holiday programs.

What will I need?

• You’ll need to have either completed or be working towards an ACECQA-approved qualification (see the link below) – or willing to enrol in a course
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
• Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting & Other Obligations Early Childhood
• National child safety training - Foundation training
• You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check – employee check
