Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking an OSHC Permanent Educator in the Byford area to deliver engaging before and after school care for primary school children. You will build meaningful relationships with families, your team, and the community, with opportunities to support nearby services as needed.

Shifts run term-time, Monday–Friday, 6:30am–6:15pm on some programs, with 20–30 hours weekly and extra hours in school holidays.

Qualifications

  • Genuine passion for working with children.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Willingness to obtain required checks (police, working-with-children).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging before and after school care programs for primary school-aged children.
  • Build relationships with children, families, and wider school community.
  • Support occasional cross-service coverage within the region.
  • Work 20–30 hours per week on term-time shifts and additional hours during school holidays.

Job Description

As an OSHC Permanent Educator, you’ll work in theByford area, where you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful, ongoing relationships with children, families, your team, and the wider school community. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of engaging before and after school care programs for primary school-aged children. From time to time, you may also have the opportunity to support nearby services across the region when additional support is needed.

Weekly shifts and hours: 20-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, across before and after school care shifts during term time. Extra hours available during school holidays too!

Rise then Shine: Term-time morning shifts from 6:30am - 8:45am
Stay and Play: Term-time afternoon shifts from 2:30pm - 6:15pm
School Holiday Program: Additional shifts may be available during school holidays, within program operating hours of 6:30am-6:15pm

Qualifications
  • A genuine passionfor working with children.
  • A team player with aspirations to grow and learn in the role
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!)
  • State working-with-children check.
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)

To be considered for this role, you will need to hold or be actively working towards a relevant ACECQA-recognised qualification, such as:

  • WA First Qualified Educator - Have completed a relevant qualification to work as a First Qualified Educator in WAin accordance with ACECQA
  • WA Qualified Educator - Working towards or have completed a relevant qualification to work as a Qualified Educator in WA in accordance with ACECQA
