Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is hiring energetic Educators to support Outside School Hours Care across Queensland. You will supervise before/after school sessions, assist during Vacation Care, and foster a safe, inclusive environment where children explore, learn and play.

Requirements include studying towards or holding a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, First Aid/CPR, and Blue Card. Casual shifts run mornings and afternoons with opportunities for growth within a values-driven not-for-profit.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow
• Promote children's wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play
