Job summary

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is hiring for an OSHC Assistant Coordinator to support a safe, engaging program for primary school children at Helping Hands Bounty Boulevard. The role fits around university timetables, with guaranteed hours of 12 per week and a 2:15pm–5:15pm afternoon shift, Monday to Thursday.

  • Desirable: Working towards or completed a relevant ACECQA qualification.
  • Must obtain national police check and a state Working with Children check.

  • Support Junior Adventures Group OSHC activities and ensure child safety.
  • Assist Coordinators in daily program delivery and supervision.

Guaranteed minimum hours: 12 hoursper week

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

While we’re happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we’re looking for:

  • Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
  • A genuine love for working with children.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
  • Must have valid Australian work rights.
