Job summary

The YMCA Queensland is recruiting energetic Educators to join the Churchill Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis. You will help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during holidays.

As an Educator, you’ll supervise activities, support children's wellbeing and confidence, and work with families to deliver engaging, play-based learning in a supportive team. A Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions
• Run or assist with Vacation Care activities
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow
• Promote children's wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play
