Job summary

SchoolsOUT in Melbourne's Greenvale service is seeking an energetic OSHC coordinator to lead engaging after-school programs. You’ll act as Responsible Person for sessions, plan activities, mentor staff, and maintain safety and child welfare standards while delivering fun, inclusive experiences.

Qualifications include Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), WWC check, First Aid/CPR, and a willingness to obtain Working with Children Check.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain.
• Qualifications in fields such as Education, Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Science, Youth Work, or Health/Allied Health.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Police Check.
• Experience as a Coordinator for an OSHC service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the educational program, ensuring smooth daily routines.
• Serve as the Responsible Person for each session, guiding both children and team members.
• Plan and execute a variety of fun and interactive activities, from arts and crafts to outdoor adventures.
• Be the ultimate mentor, engaging in games and activities with boundless energy and enthusiasm.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
• Continue and further develop a positive relationship between OSHC and School, ensuring clear communication at all times.
• Work collaboratively with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of all children, while keeping the fun alive.
• Adhere to the NQS and Regulations and ensure compliance at all times.
• Provide training and mentoring to staff on an ongoing basis.
