Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) is seeking an OSHC Assistant Coordinator for the Lower North Shore, North Sydney area. You will support a safe, engaging OSHC service and work closely with the Coordinator and Regional Operations Officer.

The role is permanent part-time (66 hours per fortnight) Monday to Friday, with an above award salary, additional allowances and super. Applicants must have the relevant qualifications and Working with Children checks.

Qualifications

• A qualification (or be working towards one) in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Proven commitment to child safety and well-being.
• Ability to work as part of a team to support OSHC services in a school community.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the Responsible Person for the service.
• Ensuring a safe and inclusive OSHC service for staff and children.
• Managing children’s attendance and bookings to maintain supervision and safety.
• Supporting the design and implementation of engaging educational programs.
• Building strong relationships with families and the school community.
• Sharing children’s experiences and achievements with families.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experiencein Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
• A validNSW Working with Children Check
• Completed the mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO. Register GECCKO
• Achild protection training certificate
• AFirst Aid Certificate
