Cairns Catholic Early Learning & Care – Trinity Park, QLD, is seeking a dedicated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our team. This full-time role partners with the Nominated Supervisor to mentor staff, maintain program quality and support children’s learning in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with families and the Educational Leader, model reflective practice, and help ensure a secure, engaging after-school program that aligns with the National Quality Framework.

Qualifications

• Possess a recognised Diploma or higher in early childhood education (ACECQA approved).
• Demonstrated leadership in OSHC or early learning settings.
• Experience in program planning, documentation and reflection.

• Coach and guide educators to reflect, learn and grow.
• Promote inclusive, culturally responsive practice for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach and guide educators, supporting them to engage in critical reflection, professional dialogue, and ongoing learning.
• Promote inclusive and culturally responsive practice, ensuring all children feel valued, respected, and supported toparticipatemeaningfully.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, offering individual support and attention to ensure they feel secure and happy.
• Maintainclear and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and educators, addressing concerns and keeping everyone informed about program activities.
• Engage families and the community, building strong relationships that enrich the curriculum and strengthen children’s sense of belonging.
• Monitor and assess children’s learning and wellbeing, documenting their progress through observations, reflections, and feedback.

• Ensure compliancewith the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, and the National Quality Standard,maintaininga secure environment for all participants.
• Assistwith scheduling, record-keeping, and managing supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Tech-Savvy:While experience with CCMS software is a bonus, your readiness to embrace and master new tools is what counts.

You will bring:

• An ACECQA approved diploma level or higher qualification or working towards
• Demonstrated experience working in OSHC or early childhood education settings.
• Experience in a leadership position
• Proven ability in program planning, documentation, and critical reflection.
• Comprehensive understanding of the My Time, Our PlaceFrameworkand the National Quality Framework (NQF).
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
