Job summary

Anila Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded not-for-profit education provider to recruit an Assistant Coordinator near Katoomba. This permanent part-time role offers 33–35 hours per week and provides a genuine leadership pathway while continuing to work closely with children and educators.

You will work alongside an experienced Coordinator, helping oversee daily service operations of the 40-place service, mentor educators, and deliver engaging before and after school programs.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or senior educator experience within OSHC or Early Childhood
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Understanding of programming and the National Quality Framework
• Current WWCC and first aid qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day service operations with an experienced Coordinator
• Lead, mentor and support educators to deliver quality programs
• Help deliver engaging before and after school activities
• Support compliance, documentation and quality improvement processes
• Build positive relationships with children, families and the school community
• Assist with rostering, organisation and daily service requirements

About the role:

Working alongside an experienced Coordinator, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the service and support educators to deliver engaging programs for school-aged children.
You will be involved in:

• Supporting the Coordinator with daily service operations of the 40 place service
• Leading, mentoring and supporting educators
• Helping deliver engaging before and after school programs
• Supporting compliance, documentation and quality improvement
• Building positive relationships with children, families and the school community
• Assisting with rostering, organization and daily service requirements
• Stepping up and supporting the Coordinator when required

What we're looking for:

• Previous leadership, mentoring or senior educator experience within OSHC or Early Childhood
• Confidence supporting and guiding a team
• A sound understanding of programming and the National Quality Framework
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A current WWCC
• Relevant first aid qualifications
